Marriott hotels worldwide are Thai-ng to set a world record for the largest Thai dinner party.
Tomorrow, October 20, the hotel chain will dish up delectable servings of such tasty Thai offerings as Tom Yum Goong (lemongrass soup) and Pad Thai Noodles in attempt to break devour the current world record. But, a company press release states an even bigger goal behind the event.
"Thai cuisine has gained worldwide popularity in recent years," said Dominic Sherry, regional vice president, sales and marketing for Marriott International Asia Pacific. "In an effort to restore Thailand's position as a major tourist destination, we are reaching out to customers everywhere with what they love most about Thailand - its food."
